Big assist numbers for SGA this series, mainly due to the way the Timberwolves are defending him.
SGA hit 8+ assists in both of OKC’s home games to commence the Western Conference Finals, and managed six in Game 3 – not a bad effort considering he played just 28 minutes and it’s highly doubtful that happens again.
Minnesota is collapsing off the ball whenever SGA has it at the top, trying to force him to be a passer. When the Timberwolves go smaller without Gobert, they’re also doubling the on-ball, which is giving the likes of Hartenstein opportunities on that short roll.
