NBA Tips – Tuesday, January 28 NBA Picks & Multi

The Great Barrier Thief has produced insane defensive stat lines all season, but he’ll need to pick up the slack on the offensive end for the Hawks against Minnesota.

Best Bet

Washington Wizards @ Dallas Mavericks (12:40pm)

Daniel Gafford
Over 15.5 Points

We rode bigs against Washington last start as our value and Nick Richards nearly produced a 20-20 game with the double-double paying $3.30.

This lines up perfectly for Daniel Gafford who has posted some big numbers for the Mavericks in the absence of Luka and fellow big Lively.

Gafford averages 16.7 points per game in his last 13 without Lively, but this is against quality opposition. In four of his last five games he’s faced Boston, Minnesota and OKC twice. In the two games around these four, he dropped 31 on the Hornets and 27 on the Pelicans.

Now Gafford will face the easiest match-up for centres in the NBA in Washington. We could see 25+ or 30+ in this with the Wizards conceding points to centres 27% above average over the last month.

SGM – Gafford Over 15.5 Points / Gafford 10+ Rebounds / Kuzma 6+ Rebounds = $3.30

Next Best

Atlanta Hawks @ Minnesota Timberwolves (12:10pm)

Dyson Daniels
Over 15.5 Points

Hawks season hanging by a thread with Jalen Johnson out and now Trae, but Aussie Dyson Daniels has proven to be able to pick up the offensive load without Trae this season.

Daniels averages 20.3 points in the three games without Trae, covering this line in two of them – the miss being against the Grizzlies who are one of the better teams in the NBA at defending guards, where he still scored 15 points in just 29 minutes of play.

Think we’ll see Daniels’ minutes around 36 regardless of score line in this with key absentees plus a long list of questionables, so think he’ll work in tandem with Okongwu and get plenty of opportunities.

SGM – Daniels 15+ Points / McDaniels 6+ Rebounds / Okongwu 8+ Rebounds = $4.20

Value Bet

Sacramento Kings @ Brooklyn Nets (11:40am)

D'Angelo Russell
20+ Points

Minutes are low as Brooklyn continue to lose their way down the standings to prime Cooper Flagg contention, but even if we see 26 minutes for DLo he’s going to get buckets.

Russell scored 22 points last start against the Heat in just 26 minutes of play, and the game prior had 23 points in 31 minutes against the Knicks.

Not a great match-up for him in this against De’Aaron Fox, but someone has to shoot the ball for this Brooklyn team made up of G-Leaguers and journeymen.

SGM – Kings / Russell 15+ Points / DeRozan 20+ Points = $3.20

Tuesday NBA Multi

Mavericks / Magic / Kings
