Trae Young - NBA Tips

Atlanta travel to New York to face the Knicks in Madison Square Garden, could we see another huge game from Trae Young?

Best Bet

Altanta Hawks @ New York Knicks (7:10am)

Trae Young
Over 23.5 Points

Loving this line for Trae against New York. Has been scoring great with an average of 27.1 points per game over his last ten. He has also cleared 24 or more in 7 of those 10 games.

The fact Trae is clearing this line regularly even though his 3 point shot percentage is well below career numbers suggests that if he finds some rhythm watch out! He has been only shooting 3’s at 28% which is well below his career standard 35%.

Trae has had some big games in MSG including two 40+ games where we got to see the iconic ‘Ice Trae’ celebration. Would love to see this number threatened by half time and the potential for a shiver celebration to finish the game.

SGM – Trae 25+ Points/ Capela Under 8.5 Rebounds/ Anunoby 4+ Rebounds = $4.33

Next Best

Phoenix Suns @ Cleveland Cavaliers (07:30am)

Nick Richards
Over 9.5 Points

Ok, I’ll bite Nick. First game in Phoenix since arriving via trade and although he didn’t start, he played starter minutes and they then sat Mason Plumlee. He scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds as the Suns beat the Pistons. If he gets the starting nod here, I can’t see him not clearing this line.

He probably wont have 21 and 11 again, but this points line just seems so achievable with his new team. Obviously a one game sample size is not ideal, but this year as a starter he has averaged 11.3 points.

Richards will face Cleveland with the added bonus of Evan Mobley being out. This will leave Richards to go one on one with Jarrett Allen. In his previous match ups as a Hornet, he cleared this line every time his minutes were in double figures.

SGM Richards 10+ Points/ Allen 10+ Rebounds/ Jones 4+ Assists = $3.30

Value Bet

Detroit Pistons @ Houston Rockets (06:10am)

Ausar Thompson
6+ Rebounds

Ausar was one of the twin brothers drafted in 2023 at pick 5, his brother Amen was drafted at Pick 4, to Houston. The twins will go head to head in this game and it should make for some enticing viewing.

Ausar averaged 6.4 rebounds last season and started his career as a rebounding machine.  Dealing with injury rapidly reduced his production and many were worried due to the injury being a blood clot issue. He looks to be passed that now and back to playing better basketball. He has got 7 rebounds in 2 of his last 3 games and if he doesn’t sabotage his own playing time with foul trouble, he could easily grab 6 boards, with the motivation of sibling rivalry front of mind.

SGM – Aus. Thompson 6+ Rebounds/ Am. Thompson 8+ Rebounds/ Sengun 20+ Points = $5.50
