Since joining the Heat during the trade period, Davion Mitchell has thrived in Spo’s system.
Mitchell is now starting for the Heat at point guard and playing bulk minutes – over the playoffs and play-in series, he’s averaging 36 minutes per game. From those five games he’s averaged 16.6 points, covering 11.5 points on all five occasions.
Since joining the Heat, Mitchell has played 33+ minutes on 23 occasions – he averages 13.4 points from this sample size, covering 11.5 in 17 of those games including 14 of the last 15. With Miami looking to force one more game in this series, Davion will be getting plenty of burn.

What a freak Steph Curry is dragging his team to a 2-1 series lead. His points output has been outstanding, but his rebounding and assists have gone under the radar this series.
Curry averages 6 rebounds and 7 assists for an RA of 13 per game, recording 9 assists in each of the last two games.
Udoka’s Rockets were forced to double Curry, in particular in the last quarter, which resulted in five assists in the last alone and although he’ll get help with Butler’s likely return, Houston really has no choice but to make Steph a passer. When Curry has scored 30+ this season including playoffs the Warriors are 17-6 – so expect more doubles, and therefore his assist and rebound numbers should continue to flourish.
