NBA Tips – Thursday, November 7 NBA Picks & Multi

The Thunder remain undefeated with a hot start to the 2024-5 NBA season, and will visit a Nuggets outfit whose depth has already been tested.

Best Bet

OKC Thunder @ Denver Nuggets (1:10pm)

Thunder -6.5
Line

The Thunder look the best team in it at the moment as many expected, while the Nuggets could really fall off the perch in the next few weeks.

Denver’s form-line doesn’t stack up. They’ve won four games, but two were to Toronto – one being OT and the other coming back from 11 down with 6 minutes left. The Nuggets other wins are Brooklyn and Utah.

OKC beat Denver in Denver when they were full strength in the season-opener by 15 points, and now the Nuggets are minus Murray and Gordon with the weakest bench in the NBA. With the Thunder winning every game this season by 11+, every chance this is another blowout making this line way too low.

SGM – OKC -6.5 / Holmgren Over 27.5 PR / Westbrook 6+ Assists = $4.20

Next Best

Orlando Magic @ Indiana Pacers (11:10am)

Franz Wagner
Under 23.5 Points

Has really struggled taking on duties as Orlando’s number one guy since Paolo went down.

Franz came out of the blocks flying averaging 25 points per game from his first three, but he hasn’t been close to that since the Indiana game where he pulled the pin after 10 minutes due to illness.

Wagner averages just 13.2 points per game in his last five going under 23.5 points in all five games, going at just 18.8 points per 36 minutes when Banchero and Carter are off the floor. This isn’t just a Franz problem though – the Magic were averaging 112.2 points per game with Paolo, and in the three games without him their average has dropped to 93.3 points per game.

Although Indiana do concede quite a few points, this line is still far too high with the German’s offensive struggles.

SGM – Pacers / Wagner Under 23.5 Points / Siakam 4+ Assists = $3.50

Value Bet

New York Knicks @ Atlanta Hawks (11:40am)

Karl-Anthony Towns
12+ Rebounds

Rebounding has been well up for the big man this season despite Thibs not playing him insane minutes as New York’s sole big.

KAT is averaging 12.5 rebounds per game now he’s back at centre, opposed to last year at the TWolves where he averaged just 8.3 rebounds per game as that stretch four next to Gobert.

Covering the line of 10.5 rebounds in four of his last fives games, KAT enters this game with the Hawks off the back of 19 rebounds in 32 minutes against the Rockets. Producing 12+ in three of his last five games, I think this is the rebound average we should expect from the Knick this season.

SGM – KAT 10+ Rebounds / Johnson 8+ Rebounds / Young 10+ Assists = $3.60
