Philadelphia 76ers @ New York Knicks (9:10am)
Mike Brown has taken the ball out of Jalen Brunson’s hands somewhat, running a five-out offense with Karl-Anthony Towns as the decision maker – and wow do the Knicks look so much better!
The change was obvious from Game 4 of the series against the Hawks, and in the four games KAT has played with the ball going through him, he’s averaged 11.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists for an RA of 18.8. The catch is, KAT had an RA of 12 in Game 1 – but did this in 20 minutes.
Think we’ll see a better showing from the 76ers in Game 2 with a bit more preparation time, which means we’ll see KAT playing around that 34-minute mark – if he does that, a triple double ($16) isn’t out of the question.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ San Antonio Spurs (11:40am)
Dylan Harper has worked his way deep into the Spurs rotation, now playing close to 30 minutes a night while sharing the back court duties with Fox and Castle. Playing 29 minutes in Game 1, Harper finished with 18 points off 13 attempts.
Of all Spurs players that average 15+ minutes per game this post-season, it’s Harper that has the best net rating at 17.1, with a plus-minus of +51 these playoffs – only behind Devin Vassell.
Averaging 13.5 points per game this post-season, Harper has covered this line in three of his last four games, while across his career to date, in the 16 games he’s played 26+ minutes Harper has averaged 16 points per game, while covering 10.5 points in 14 of those games.
