Banchero - NBA Tips

The Magic return home after a five-game road trip which included dismantling the run of the Cavaliers. What can they do against the Rockets?

Best Bet

Washington Wizards @ Utah Jazz (12:10pm)

Kyle Filipowski
Over 12.5 Points

Welcome to the tank-a-thon match-up of 2025, with neither the Wizards or Jazz interested in winning. Utah has named Sexton, Clarkson and Markkanen, but I don’t expect Will Hardy to play them a whole heap. Kyle Filipowski on the other hand will play.

The rookie has stepped up as a starter in Kessler’s absence this season – his last seven in that role since February 8 has seen Filipowski average 18.7 points per game covering this line in six of them.

Expect him to be Utah’s primary scorer with the key players sitting for most of this match.

SGM: Filipowski Over 12.5 Points/ Sexton Under 19.5 Points / Markkanen Under 22.5 PR = $5.00

Next Best

Philadelphia 76ers @ OKC Thunder (11:10am)

Aaron Wiggins
Over 18.5 Points

The Thunder are once again sitting their starting unit outside of Chet, but I still don’t see big minutes for Holmgren against this 76ers outfit.

This means a big game for Aaron Wiggins is on the cards. The OKC bench player thrived as a starter last time the Thunder pulled this stunt against Portland, dropping 30 points and leading them to a convincing win.

We’ve seen him produce multiple big scoring games when given the opportunity this season – he dropped 41 points on the Kings seven weeks back when Jalen Williams was injured. The $10 for 30+ in this is worth a small play.

SGM: Thunder / Holmgren Under 21.5 Points / Wiggins Over 18.5 Points = $3.50

Value Bet

Houston Rockets @ Orlando Magic (10:10am)

Orlando
Win

Just feel the Rockets are ripe for the picking. They were incredibly poor against the 76ers and managed to get over the line in overtime with Udoka’s rotations all over the shop due to Sengun’s limited impact.

Houston has won seven in a row, but the calibre of opposition hasn’t been there – New Orleans twice, Orlando at home (when they were struggling), Phoenix in a tight contest, Dallas, followed by Chicago and Philadelphia in close ones.

No denying that the Magic had a really bad run, but they started to turn it around on the road beating Milwaukee, smashing New Orleans, challenging the Timberwolves before ending Cleveland’s win streak. Back on their home court, I like the price in this.

SGM: Orlando +2.5 / Under 210.5 Total Points / Sengun 15+ Points = $4.75

Thursday NBA Multi

Magic +2.5 / Pistons / Thunder / Pacers = $4.30
