NBA Tips – Thursday, January 23 NBA Picks & Multi

Malik Monk has been on fire for the Sacramento Kings since the firing of Mike Brown, and after tearing up the Warriors two weeks back he’ll face them once again.

Best Bet

Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings (2:10pm)

Malik Monk
Over 24.5 Points & Assists

Was already having a good season but feel he’s really flourished under Doug Christie, while leap-frogging DeMar DeRozan in Sacramento’s offensive pecking order.

Malik Monk averages a PA of 31.1 from his last eight games, covering the line of 24.5 in all eight of those games.

One of those meetings was against the Warriors a bit over two weeks back where he finished with a PA of 37 – albeit without Fox, but he still did so in just 29 minutes. More than capable of maintaining this level of play.

SGM – Monk Over 24.5 PA / Wiggins 15+ Points / Jackson-Davis Under 8.5 Rebounds = $4.20

Next Best

Milwaukee Bucks @ New Orleans Pelicans (12:10pm)

Dejounte Murray
Over 24.5 Points & Rebounds

Genuine triple-double threat every time he plays, Dejounte Murray has been a key reason behind a nice little stretch by the Pelicans where they’ve won five of their last six.

Murray is averaging a PR of 27.9 over the last eight games which includes an absolute stinker two starts back against the Jazz where he had just 8 points and 5 rebounds – if we exclude that outlier is PR jumps to 30 over a seven-game stretch.

The Bucks is a great match-up for point guards – they concede points at 12% above average over the last month and rebounds 22% above average. With the Pelicans playing much better basketball, we should see Dejounte cover here.

SGM – Pelicans +6.5 / Murray Over 24.5 PR / Zion 4+ Assists = $3.50

Value Bet

Utah Jazz @ OKC Thunder (12:10pm)

Jaylin Williams
8+ Rebounds

No Hartenstein for OKC which makes Jaylin Williams the only big for the Thunder, and the minutes have been there recently.

Two starts back he finished with a double-double with 10 rebounds, and last start against the Nets he had 8.

Hasn’t had many opportunities due to injury and trying to find minutes in their rotation, but his per-36 minute numbers are great at 11.1 rebounds. Has recorded 8+ rebounds in his last four games where he’s played at least 15 minutes, and with around 26 minutes on the cards against the Jazz, this looks great value.

SGM – Collins 10+ Points / Jaylin Williams Over 6.5 Rebounds / Kessler 10+ Rebounds = $3.50

Thursday NBA Multi
