NBA Tips – Thursday, December 5 NBA Picks & Multi

Giannis - NBA Betting Tips

The Greek Freak is low-key putting together the best season of his career including his MVP year. What can he do when the Bucks host the Hawks?

Best Bet

Orlando Magic @ Philadelphia 76ers (11:40am)

Magic -3.5
Line

Had a real bad one against the Knicks, but that’s been rare of late for the Magic who has the best at the spread record in the NBA over the last 14 games covering in 12 of them.

They head to Philadelphia from New York, who have managed to notch some wins of late but don’t get too carried away. Their last two have been against the Pistons minus Cade, and the Hornets minus LaMelo, with their other win against Brooklyn.

This Orlando team is far better than the three wins they notched – even Wednesday’s win over Charlotte was tight with PG going off for 29 points. There’s no way the 76ers risk PG on the second leg of a back-to-back in this, and this Magic back-court will make life difficult for the Maxey-McCain 76ers playmakers.

SGM – Magic -3.5 / Suggs Under 15.5 Points / F Wagner 6+ Assists = $4.75

Next Best

Atlanta Hawks @ Milwaukee Bucks (12:10pm)

Giannis Antetokounmpo
Over 6.5 Assists

He’s low-key putting together the best season of his career, with Giannis already recording a number of triple doubles this season.

Over the last nine games Giannis has played in, the Greek Freak is averaging 8.2 assists per game covering 6.5 assists in seven of those games.

The Greek Freak has played well against the Hawks in recent times – he’s covered 6.5 assists in three of the last four meetings which includes two triple doubles. Don’t be surprised if we see another triple double around the $6 mark.

SGM – Johnson Under 19.5 Points / Lillard Under 26.5 Points / Giannis Over 6.5 Assists = $5.00

Value Bet

Detroit Pistons @ Boston Celtics (11:40am)

Jaden Ivey
20+ Points

Bet with caution market, because if Cade Cunningham does play there’s no way Ivey scores 20+ points – hence the value as it stands. But I can see the Pistons not risk Cade off no rest in this road trip to Boston, and if that’s the case then we will see Ivey’s points line significantly move up.

Ivey is still averaging 17.7 points per game with Cade this season thanks to a hot start to the season, but in the four games Cade missed his average jumps to 19 per game. On face value, this isn’t a huge difference but his minutes have been way down in these games too – his points per 36 minutes without Cade is actually 25.2 points per 36.

Happy to have a small play and back in the fact we say Ivey running the show for the Pistons in Boston on Thursday.

SGM – Ivey 15+ Points / Tatum 8+ Rebounds / Ivey 4+ Assists = $3.75
