Centres have posted some huge numbers against the Spurs in recent times, and we should expect a similar outcome when Jusuf Nurkic and the Trail Blazers head to San Antonio.
Cavaliers @ Mavericks (1:00pm)
Evan Mobley has been a man possessed on the glass of late even with the return of Jarrett Allen.
The second-year pro is ranked fifth in the NBA for rebounds over the last month with 11.1 per game, and although many of those were from the five-spot in Allen’s absence, his average is actually up on this when playing alongside the centre at 11.4 rebounds per game in his last 10 games.
Covering 8.5 rebounds in 13 of his last 17 games, Mobley is set for another double-double against the Mavericks.
Knicks @ Bulls (11:40am)
When the Bulls play at home as favourites they tend to play on their terms and make it a bit of a grind so expect the same against the Knicks.
Chicago has gone unders in five of their six home games as favourite, and at home regardless of favouritism status they’ve gone under the total points in seven of their last eight games.
In New York’s last ten games on the road, eight have gone unders which indicates that we’re likely to see the total points closer to 210 than 225.
Trail Blazers @ Spurs (12:10pm)
Bigs against the Spurs is a thing, especially now that both Jakob Poeltl and Zach Collins are out. Enter Jusuf Nurkic.
The Bosnian Beast isn’t the most consistent player in the NBA, but against this San Antonio team he gets an incredible look with centres scoring 50% above average over the last month against the Spurs.
Averaging 16 points per game from his last 13, the line of 14.5 should be covered with ease. After recording 21 points against the Nuggets three games back, $3.15 for 21+ points looks a great bet.
