The Lakers enter New Orleans on a 4-game win streak while the Pelicans will likely be without seven of their best eight players.
Best Bet
San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks (12:40pm)
I fear for Klay a bit with the return of Kyrie Irving. He covered this last start but by the barest of margins against the worst team in the West with a usage increase due to Kyrie’s absence, but the minutes are a concern only playing 28.
Naji Marshall has been fantastic since coming across from New Orleans, as has Quentin Grimes – both players outplaying Klay last start whilst providing a defensive edge.
Outside of last game without Kyrie and the Golden State revenge narrative, Klay failed to cover 16.5 points in his seven games prior to these two. With the Mavericks winning just one of their last six, I think JKidd will look to combine the likes of Grimes and Marshall with Kyrie and Luka and we’ll see Klay’s minutes take a hit.
SGM – Spurs +10.5 / Thompson Under 16.5 Points / Kyrie 20+ Points = $4.00
Next Best
LA Lakers @ New Orleans Pelicans (12:10pm)
Although the Pelicans enter this off the back of a home win against Denver, the Nuggets were without Nikola Jokic and Denver’s net rating when Jokic isn’t on the floor this season was -25.5 – for context, that is twice as bad as Washington.
With Trey Murphy likely to miss for New Orleans it will mean that they are missing seven of their best eight players with Ingram the last man standing.
The Lakers enter this clash off the back of a four-game win streak, and although their depth continues to be challenged they’ll be far too good for this New Orleans team where AD and LeBron will likely have monster games once again.
SGM – Lakers -6.5 / Davis 25+ Points / LeBron 10+ Assists = $3.75
Value Bet
Milwaukee Bucks @ Charlotte Hornets (7:10am)
An incredible look for LaMelo Ball against this Milwaukee team, as he looks to lead Charlotte to an unlikely win.
Ball has now scored 30+ points in his last three games with his shot volume through the roof, ranked third for attempts per game slightly behind Luka and Maxey this season.
Averaging 29.9 points from 33.6 minutes per game this season, LaMelo faces a Bucks outfit that are the third easiest for point guards to score against this season going at 14% above average. He goes big again here.
SGM – Ball Over 27.5 Points / Giannis 35+ Points / Wright Under 6.5 Points = $4.75

Spurs +10.5 / Lakers / Kings
