We’ve found some big men that are going to have a huge impact in Sunday’s slate of games, including one of the favourites for Most Improved.

Rockets @ Pelicans (12:30pm)
Houston centre Alperen Sengun is producing very similar numbers to Nikola Jokic in their second years in the league, and the points and rebounds lines look way under in this.
Sengun averages 17.1 points and 9.7 rebounds this season, with an average PRA of 28.9 – more than two points higher than his line for when they take on the Pelicans.
From the Turk’s last four games his PRA average is 32.5, and centres against the Pelicans are scoring 8% above average over the last month. With his points line set at 15.5, we can expect to see something closer to a 20-point performance from Sengun.

Jazz @ Wizards (10:00am)
If they announce the Most Improved Player right now, it’s Lauri Markkanen leading the Jazz to the 1-seed in the West after being traded in the Donovan Mitchell deal.
Markkanen averages 22.7 points per game this season and is the main man in Utah, covering the 20.5 points line in 8 of his 13 games this season.
Coming off a 32-point effort in their road win over Atlanta and averaging 24 points from his last seven games, the Fin gets another decent look in this against Washington who concede points to small forwards at 7% above average. Expect another strong scoring night from Markkanen, with 25+ ($2.73) and 29+ ($5.05) worthwhile plays along with the line.
Value Bet
Hawks @ 76ers (11:30am)
It’s a dangerous game betting on Clint Capela, but after what he did to Philadelphia last game there’s certainly some value here.
Up against the 76ers for the second time in three days, Capela is coming off an 18 point and 20 rebound effort exploiting the second unit of the 76ers with Embiid in foul trouble.
Capela’s had a nice little purple path, averaging 14.8 points and 17.5 rebounds from his last four games, and with his PRA line currently set at 20.5, there’s an opportunity to go as high as 35 paying $4.35.
