Donte had moments during the season where he looked like he was going to be a key role player off the bench, similar to a Payton Pritchard for the Celtics. The playoffs have not been kind and he is struggling badly.
Shooting percentages of 34.5% field goal and just 28% from deep for the playoffs is a far cry from his season averages. This series has been horrendous so far with a -20 and -27 in games 1 and 2 +/-. Just the 22 minutes in game 2 and we might see even less in Game 3.
Mike Conley is +5 and +14 in two losses so far and clearly needs to be the choice at point guard if Minnesota want to throw a punch this series. Make no mistake, Minnesota must win this game and it will rely entirely on Edwards and Randle.
