Only four NBA games on Sunday, with Luka Doncic’s Mavericks looking primed to do a defensive job on the Charlotte Hornets, looking to bounce back from a loss to the 76ers.
Best Bet
Mavericks @ Hornets (10:00am)
Dallas Mavericks H2H ($1.83)
Charlotte like to get up and down playing a fast-paced, free-flowing offensive style – but the Mavericks will take this away from them.
Dallas is ranked second in the NBA in both defensive rating and opposition points since January 1 this year, making this a nightmare match-up for the Hornets.
When these two met on December 13, the Mavericks were way too good for Charlotte winning 120-96, and if Jason Kidd’s men do another defensive number on this Hornets outfit there’s no way Charlotte will win this in a grind.
The Mavericks have won five of their last seven games off no rest, and although they’ll be on the road for this they match-up really well with the Hornets and will be too good.

Bucks @ Timberwolves (8:00am)
Khris Middleton Over 21.5 Points ($1.83)
Despite Khris Middleton continuing to put up big scores, the bookies maintain the points line of 21.5 – one that he has covered in eight of his last ten games.
Since the All Star break, Middleton averages 25.7 points from 18 field goal attempts per game which is just one shot per game behind Giannis.
Although Middleton only managed 16 against the Timberwolves in October, he did manage 27 points in 25 minutes when he faced them the time prior at the end of the 2021 season. The Bucks are making a big push for the #1 seed in the East, which should see Middleton continue to put up points.

Pistons @ Cavaliers (11:00am)
Saddiq Bey 4+ Assists ($2.63)
Coming off a 50-piece against the Magic, Saddiq Bey will likely play a different role when the Pistons go to Cleveland.
Detroit will add Cade Cunningham and Jerami Grant back into the mix, which means it’s unlikely we see Bey go for another monster points performance. the last four games that Bey, Cunningham and Grant have played together, Bey has averaged 10.8 points per game, while the other two have combined for 44 points per game between them.
But Bey has proven to be an effective passer – he has averaged 3.9 assists from his last seven games, recording 4+ in five of the last seven. Expect less points but more dimes from Saddiq.
