A couple of surprise packets could emerge as the division winners of the Southwest, but one thing is for sure – it won’t be the Memphis Grizzlies.

Understand there’s no Kyrie, but I’m still extremely surprised that the line for the Mavericks is a .500 record this season.
They’re absolutely stacked in the bigs which will be able to cover the AD short-term injuries, with Lively, Gafford and PJ Washington all more than capable.
Then there’s Cooper Flagg. The highly touted pick one has played some Point Guard this pre-season, but will likely settle on the wing for the Mavericks offering two-way basketball.
Throw in the likes of D’Angelo Russell, Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, Max Christie and Caleb Martin, there’s more than enough pieces on this roster to be more than competitive and cause some defensive carnage.
If everything fires with AD, they could surprise as the winner of the Southwest paying $9.
Under
I’m predicting a complete trainwreck of a season here.
Desmond Bane was vital to this team and he’s now in Orlando. Jaren Jackson Jr has only just returned to playing after being injured this off-season, while Edey will miss indefinitely and Brandon Clarke is out until December.
And then there’s Ja Morant. Another ankle injury for Morant in the pre-season, and his ability to hold up physically over an 82-game season is in doubt. He only managed 50 games last season – could be less this season.
Potentially harsh, but I wasn’t overly impressed with new coach Tuomas Iisalo when taking over from Taylor Jenkins, and I can see this Memphis team falling to the second worst team in the West this season.
Division Winner
Was significantly more confident with the Knicks and Thunder to win their divisions – the Rockets at $1.45 is dangerous and one I wouldn’t be locking away.
Although on paper they should win the Northwest with the addition of Kevin Durant, there could be some growing pains with this roster.
They’ve moved on Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Cam Whitmore cutting out a bit of depth from their wings, but the biggest blow is the season-ending knee injury to Fred VanVleet.
They will need Amen Thompson to take a huge step for Houston to be around the 50-win mark which is anticipated, but be wary of what Wemby can do with the Spurs and AD at the Mavericks.
