You can’t tell me that the Thompson twins don’t circle these games on the calendar at the start of the season. They will have played this matchup in the driveway thousands of times.
Although Amen is probably more impactful so far, Ausar is not to be forgotten. He had an interrupted first season for Detroit but managed some more consistent minutes post all star break. Since March, he averaged 23PRA combined and was rewarded with more playing time.
Game 1 saw him demand 33 minutes for the Pistons and he finished with 27PRA. Only the 8 shots but he does have the ability to hit the scoreboard and don’t be surprised if he gets many of these stats through scoring.

The Celtics struggled against the 76ers and also went deep into the roster as they slowly figure out who is going to demand the court time for this season. Although they only lost by one, I didn’t see much from the 76ers that impressed me either. Knicks to start the season 2-0.

#1 draft pick bounce back game? The nerves were on show for Flagg in game 1 and it was a subpar performance by his standards.
Finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds, most newcomers would be happy with that performance, but Cooper is not most rookies. Averaging 19, 8 and 4 through college, he was touted as the one of the best #1 picks since Lebron.
Game one against Wembanyama and that was his welcome to the NBA moment. Flagg went scoreless in the first half, the Spurs jumped the Mavs from the start, and they never recovered. Washington Wizards present a much better opportunity for Flagg to showcase his talents and he’s too good not to bounce back.
