The Spurs had a shot at the buzzer to win game 1, but it just missed. Regardless, the series says one win each and now in Minnesota, this game becomes critical.
New York Knicks @ Philadelphia 76ers (9:10am)
We won’t know about Embiid’s status until close to tip off but either way, Maxey needs a big one for Philly.
He has averaged 25.2PPG for the playoffs, including the blow out loss to the Knicks in game 1, where he only managed 13 points. He has cleared this number in six of the nine playoff games he has played this season. A much better shooter on his home rings, Maxey is shooting 48% from deep and going at 27.7PPG at home.
With the Knicks potentially losing Anunoby, the 76ers have a chance to match New York offensively, and it heavily relies on Maxey.
San Antonio Spurs @ Minnesota Timberwolves (11:40am)
McDaniels had a rough game 2, plagued with foul trouble from the onset, never getting any synergy on the court. He owes his team a make up game, with the Spurs giving them a thumping.
Another home court hero, but this time it’s rebounds. McDaniels gets aggressive on his own court, as we have seen by his 9.3RPG average when playing in Minnesota. The 4.5 season average for McDaniels is right on for the bookies, but playoffs is a different game. San Antonio have won the rebound count in both games thus far and the Wolves would be emphasising this. The Spurs flexed their muscle after the game 1 loss, the Wolves need to answer, and McDaniels needs a redemption game.
