Best Bet
Houston Rockets @ L.A Lakers (10:40am)
Durant has had five or more assists in nine of his last ten games to finish the season.
In two meetings in March, the Lakers did a great job limiting KD’s impact on the game. But that Lakers squad will be very different to the one we will see in game 1 of this series. I expect Durant to set the tone early and the Rockets to take advantage of his size. The Lakers may struggle to contain him and if the double team comes, Durant is the perfect size to pass out over the defence.
Next Best
Toronto Raptors @ Cleveland Cavaliers (03:10am)
Strus only featured in twelve games this season, but he has managed to make an impact, playing 24 minutes on average per game.
Strus knew he would be missing the majority of this season after having surgery on a toe injury in August. The Cavs and Strus would have been eyeing a late season ramp up into playoffs and that’s gone to plan so far.
A knock down three-point shooter, he can play off Mitchell and Harden creating a scoring option very well. I expect the majority of this to come via points but add the rebounds for some insurance.
Value Bet
Atlanta Hawks @ New York Knicks (08:10am)
Not quite the $2 mark we aim for in the value section, but I expected this to be crunched the other way by the market.
Daniels finished the season with a triple double against Cleveland, showing us exactly what he is capable of. The Aussie guard averages 6.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists for the season with those numbers boosted to 13.1 RA since the new year.
His last game against New York was only back on the 6th of April and Dys finished with 12 rebounds, clearing this line with boards alone.
