A quiet Monday of NBA is headlined by the 7-1 Cavaliers heading to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers.
Best Bet
Cavaliers @ Lakers (7:30am)
Is it possible for a team to go under the radar with a 7-1 record? It appears so as the Cleveland Cavaliers currently have the second-best record in the NBA, and have pretty much done it without Darius Garland who has played just the one full game.
The Cavs have claimed the scalps of the Bulls, Knicks and Celtics twice this season, with their recent 24-point win over the Pistons emphasising their depth with no Garland or Donovan Mitchell.
Both are questionable again for Monday clash with the Lakers, but it doesn’t matter. The Cavs have covered in 7 of their 8 games this season, while the Lakers have covered in just 2 of their 8 games. Cleveland’s playing too well, with the 11+ at $3.75 an extra play with the line.
Next Best
Jazz @ Clippers (2:00pm)
An underwhelming start to the season for the Clippers with Kawhi sidelined almost immediately, and they’re playing in the lowest scoring games of all NBA teams averaging just 208.5 total points.
The Clippers are the worst offensive team in the NBA averaging 102.3 points per game, but they still hold up defensively conceding the fourth least points per game at 106.2 per contest.
Of the Clippers nine games this season, only one has gone over the total points and that one game that has also gone over this points line of 224.5. Continue to take the total points under for Clippers games until the lines is trimmed.
Value Bet
Wizards @ Grizzlies (10:00am)
The Grizzlies have continued to go about their business this season with a 6-3 record, playing in the second highest scoring games of all teams only behind the Warriors.
Averaging the second most points per game this season with 118.7 per game, Memphis go to another level when they play at the FedExForum with a 3-0 record averaging 126.3 points per game, with an average winning margin of 14.7 points.
Washington has won just one of their last five games and will struggle to play at Memphis’ tempo in this one.
