NBA Tips – Monday, January 6 NBA Picks & Multi

The Magic copped another blow with Jalen Suggs another key player on the sidelines, so an unassuming big man will need to pick up the slack.

Best Bet

Utah Jazz @ Orlando Magic (10:40am)

Goga Bitadze
Over 24.5 PR

No Suggs, no Franz, no Mo, no Paolo – it’s Goga time. Bitadze is putting together a great season for the Magic and is improving as the season goes on.

The Georgian national should see a usage jump when they host the Jazz, and in the 89 minutes he’s been on court without Suggs, Franz, Mo and Paolo his per 36 minute numbers are strong going at 17.7 points, 13.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists.

Expect Bitadze to play low 30 minutes in this which should be enough to cover – he’s averaged a PR of bang-on 24.5 over the last 11 games in just under 30 minutes and with being more of a focal point the big man should produce a strong stat line.

SGM – Utah +6.5 / Bitadze Over 13.5 Points / Kessler Under 10.5 Rebounds = $6.50

Next Best

New Orleans Pelicans @ Washington Wizards (10:10am)

Yves Missi
Under 11.5 Rebounds

It’s a huge rebound line for the rookie, and although it’s a friendly match-up against the Wizards it’s hard to see Yves Missi produce a 12+ rebound game.

Missi is averaging just 8.4 rebounds from his last eight games, where he’s failed to cover 11.5 rebounds once. In fact, Missi just played the Wizards a few days back where he landed on 11 rebounds.

Although the Wizards are an easy team for centres to score against, they don’t concede rebounds above average. We might see another double-double for Missi, but this line doesn’t align with recent form.

SGM – Poole Over 23.5 Points / Missi Under 11.5 Rebounds / Carrington Under 17.5 PRA = $5.25

Value Bet

Charlotte Hornets @ Cleveland Cavaliers (10:10am)

Jarrett Allen
15+ Points

Let me down when the Cavs played the Mavericks last start, but Allen found himself in foul trouble producing his lowest minutes output from the last 17 games – and he still nearly covered.

As a result though we get Allen’s points line dropped to 12.5 which provides great value considering he’s averaging 17.3 points per 36 minutes from his last 21 games which includes the offensive drought.

The Hornets concede points to centres 6% above average over the last month – so if Allen can avoid foul trouble and play his 28-30 minutes, he really should hit 15+ points in this.

SGM – Allen Over 12.5 Points / Ball 6+ Assists / Miller 4+ Assists = $4.50

Monday NBA Multi

Cavs 11+ / Rockets / Jazz +6.5
$4.07
