Is absolutely flying since returning from injury and even more so as a starter. Malik Monk saluted as our value bet on Saturday for 20+ points, and wouldn’t be surprised to see something similar against the Jazz.

He’s been a 20+ point per 36 minute scorer since joining the Kings, and now Mike Brown is putting Monk in the mix to actually play 36 minutes per game due to the Kings shallow roster.

When playing 30+ minutes this season, Monk averages 21.9 points per game covering 17.5 points in six of those eight games – the two games he only managed 17 points were against two of the better defences in the NBA in Houston and the Clippers. With the Jazz conceding points to shooting guards 9% above average over the last month, I think we’ll see Monk go for another 20.

On paper the Pelicans looks like a great match-up for just about anyone, but centres are actually returning poor games against New Orleans over the last month which makes this Wemby line slightly high.

The Pelicans are the third most difficult team for centres to score against over this period, going at 18% below average. Although Wemby has covered this line twice in this last five games, when he came back from injury last time he only managed a PR of 32 against the Warriors. It may take the Frenchman some time to get going against the Pelicans.

Shooting numbers are diabolical, but assist numbers are out of this world for Trae Young.

In his last ten games, Young is averaging 13.9 assists per game hitting 14+ assists in five of those games which includes 20 against the Lakers.

The Lakers are the second easiest team over the last month for point guards to produce assists against – but the easiest is his next opponent, the Nuggets. Denver is conceding assists to point guards 22% above average – with Brunson, Curry and Harden all producing double-digit dimes against Denver of late, I think Trae could go large again with the Hawks humming.
