Nikola Jokic - NBA Tips

Betseeker’s expert tipsters have you covered for the best NBA tips and predictions for every game of the NBA season.

Nikola Jokic loves facing fellow European Jonas Valanciunas and is set for a monster game when the Nuggets head to New Orleans.

Best Bet

Suns @ Spurs (8:10am)

Keldon Johnson
Under 21.5 Points

Keldon Johnson is currently the coldest shooter in the entire NBA, and this is no exaggeration. Of all players attempting on average 10 shots per game since November 9, Johnson has the worst FG percentage at 31.3% averaging 16.6 points per game.

The volume is still there, which is probably why he’s still marked at the line of 21.5 points, but you simply cannot back him in on recent form making just 39 of his last 140 shots from a seven-game stretch equating to a field goal percentage of 27.9%.

Johnson has covered 21.5 points once from his last nine games (he needed 28 shot attempts to do it), and with the Suns restricting small forwards to points 20% below average over the last month, this is a nightmare match-up for him to find some form.

Next Best

Grizzlies @ Pistons (10:10am)

Pistons +6.5
Line

Not easy to back the Pistons, even at the spread on their home court, but in terms of recent form they’re actually equal first for coverage over the last ten games with the Celtics and Pelicans.

Detroit has covered in seven of their last ten games, while Memphis has been fairly poor on the road this season going 5-7 with the worst road coverage rate in the NBA at 16.7%.

Winning just one of their last five road games and covering in just one of their last nine away from home, this presents a huge opportunity for the Pistons with a 6.5 point head start.

Value Bet

Nuggets @ Pelicans (7:40am)

Nikola Jokic
29+ Points

The 2x MVP loves the Jonas Valanciunas match-up, and he’s due for a huge game after two quieter offensive efforts against the Rockets and Hawks.

Nikola Jokic averages 31.1 points from his last seven against Valanciunas, including 39 and 46 point efforts against the Pelicans last season.

With his line set at 24.5, we should see Jokic cover this with easy but the 29+ points is appealing paying $2.46.
