NBA Tips – Friday, February 7 NBA Picks & Multi

Jaylen Brown won a Finals MVP against the Mavericks last year. Look for him to continue his dominance over the Mavericks, even if Anthony Davis makes his Dallas debut.

Best Bet

Houston Rockets @ Minnesota Timberwolves (12:10pm)

Jaden McDaniels
Over 5.5 Rebounds

McDaniels and Naz Reid have been the biggest winners after Julius Randle went down with a groin injury recently. Jaden’s minutes have increased from being a fringe 30-minute guy, to a 36-minute key piece for the Wolves.

With the extra minutes, has come extra stats with a slight increase to his points, rebounds and assists over the past fortnight. His rebound numbers have been impressive lately, clearing 6 rebounds in 12 of his last 15 games. He has averaged 9 rebounds over his last three games which coincides with Randle going down.

The Wolves will need McDaniels for a full 36 minutes, as the premier defender on the team he will probably get the job on Houston’s young gun Amen Thompson.

SGM – McDaniels 6+ Rebounds/ Edwards 25+ Points/ Brooks 10+ Points = $3.00

Next Best

Dallas Mavericks @ Boston Celtics (11:30am)

Jaylen Brown
Over 10.5 Rebounds & Assists

Boston will host Dallas in an NBA Finals rematch. While Boston are almost identical, the Mavs have made drastic changes and we probably get our first look at Anthony Davis in blue.

Primarily a go to scorer for Boston last season, we have seen Brown do a bit more of the peripheral stats this year. His rebound and assist numbers have both exceeded last season’s averages. In the NBA Finals, Brown averaged over 12RA in Boston’s winning four games.

With Holiday and White seemingly struggling at the moment, there has been a heavy workload for both Brown and Tatum. JB notably has increased his rebound averages to 8.3 over the past week. Add to that over 5 assists on average for the month and you can see the edge created.

SGM – Brown 6+ Rebounds/ White 15+ Points/ Irving 4+ Assists = $3.50

Value Bet

Orlando Magic @ Denver Nuggets (1:10pm)

Goga Bitadze
8+ Rebounds

The big fella has got his starting spot, although he is sharing the minutes with Wendell Carter. Orlando have struggled choosing a starting line up and with significant injuries throughout the season it has been a bit of a raffle for minutes.

Solid rebounding numbers over his last 10, averaging 7.5 rebounds. This includes a few games of low minutes, when we remove the 3 games under 20 minutes, that number jumps to 9. To put it simply, if he gets the minutes, he will get the rebounds.

In the two games against Denver with significant minutes, Goga grabbed 10 as a Pacer and 12 in his new home the Orlando Magic.

SGM – Bitadze 8+ Rebounds/Braun 15+ Points/ Murray 6+ Assists = $6.25
