When Giannis first went down with his calf injury, the common theory was that Bobby was the next man up. We have seen him fill in for Giannis on multiple occasions and from a box score perspective, he fills it up. If you’ve watched the Bucks games, you probably would have seen that Portis doesn’t always contribute to winning basketball, and I think Coach Rivers has had enough.

Portis is way out of favour and the Bucks are putting serious time into Jericho Sims and newly acquired guard, Cam Thomas. The Bucks beat the Magic yesterday and Portis saw just 16 minutes. That’s now two games in a row with identical run and similar output, nowhere near this line. It will take Bobby’s best to clear this PR line in 16 minutes.

Isaiah Collier

Collier has been unbelievable for Utah, filling in for the injured Keyonte George. In his last five games he is averaging 17 points and 13 assists per game.

Although questionable at this stage, I don’t think George returns for this game before All Star Weekend and Collier should start at point guard. However, his lines have moved to accommodate his breakout and now I think they are too high.

The last two games have stood out for me, with Collier only averaging 8.5 shot attempts per game. The threat of the assists will always be there with Collier, but without a big points night as well, he shouldn’t clear this.

Not a lot of value to be seen in this last game before the all-star break, both teams will be without their stars and finding the right role player who stands up is often difficult.

Naji has been the guy in two of the last three Dallas games, with a 32 and then 31-point performance. We saw increased minutes in both of those games and without Cooper Flagg playing, we should see a lot of Marshall.

Marshall’s shooting can sometimes let him down so we will need to see him attack this challenge head on, as the Mavericks number one option for offence.
