Boston and Memphis are staring down the barrel of 3-1 series deficits if they can’t manufacture a win on the road against their favoured opponents.

Boston squandered a perfect opportunity to take a 2-1 lead in this series in Game 3. They led 100-99 with 50 seconds left in the fourth but didn’t make another field goal.
A different ruling on a Jrue Holiday foul on Marcus Smart with 4.6 seconds left could’ve seen the Defensive Player of the Year at the line with an opportunity to tie the game but it wasn’t to be.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Celtics take Game 3 if Tatum had shown up there. The three-time All-Star finished that one with 10 points on 21.1 per cent from the field.
Neither team shot the ball well in Game 3 and there is good reason for that. Boston and Milwaukee have the two best defensive ratings among second-round playoff teams.
This series has seven games written all over it and I fully expect the Celtics to respond and once again even things up.

Memphis will welcome back Dillon Brooks from his one-game suspension in Game 4, but they are likely to be without their All-Star guard Ja Morant.
That is a massive blow to the Grizzlies’ chances in this series and a debilitating loss before a crucial game that may well plunge them into a 3-1 hole.
News of Morant’s injury has seen the game line push into double digit territory and that number scares me when you’re betting against the best team ATS in the league this year.
Memphis is 20-5 without Ja this season and it’s a safe bet that they will come out swinging when their leader was, according to head coach Taylor Jenkins, injured on a dirty play by the opposition.
Golden State have been dominant after the long break at home this postseason with a net rating of 27.6. That is an absurd number and one that is absolutely worth tailing.
Expect the Grizzlies to keep this one close enough at half before the Warriors make the appropriate adjustments at half time and blow this one beyond reach.
