Boston -6.5
Line

The Heat have only won one quarter so far this series, with the Celtics putting on a Game 2 masterclass. Now Boston returns home for Game 3, and if it weren’t for that one quarter of basketball in Game 1 they would likely be going home with a 2-0 series lead.

The difference between the two teams is the offensive spread that Boston has opposed to the Heat. With Marcus Smart returning for Game 2, the Celtics had six players finish in double figures with four of them scoring 19+ points.

Jimmy Butler is playing a lone offensive hand for the Heat and we should expect Erik Spoelstra to mix this up. Don’t be surprised to see Victor Oladipo enter the starting line-up, while they simply need more out of Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro.

The Celtics are a much more complete outfit than the Heat, and on their home court won’t have any issues covering the handicap of 6.5.

Value Bet

Jaylen Brown 8+
Rebounds

Has been rebounding incredibly well the entire post-season averaging 6.8 rebounds per game, recording 8+ rebounds in 54% of the 13 playoff games.

In Game 2 Jaylen Brown finished with 8 rebounds in just 33 minutes of play due to foul trouble and the game being a blowout, which has him averaging 9 rebounds per game this series.

Looks like the Celtics will play Grant Williams in the four and alternate Robert Williams and Al Horford in the five-spot this series, and with Grant Williams not a big rebounder there will continue to be plenty of opportunities for Brown to get on the glass. Recording 8+ in four of his last five, we should see another big rebounding game from the Boston wing.

Same Game Multi

Jaylen Brown 8+ Rebounds / Jimmy Butler 25+ Points / Marcus Smart 6+ Assists = $3.60

Jimmy Butler averages 29.8 points per game this post-season, and from his last six games he’s averaging 33 points per game. With Miami short on offensive options, expect Butler to continue to put up big points this series.

Marcus Smart is vital to this Boston line-up at both ends of the floor, and averages 6.7 assists per game in the post-season. He’s recorded 6+ assists in 8 of the 11 playoff games including in 4 of the last 5, and should do so again coming off a 12-assists game in Game 2.
