Al Horford - NBA Tips

Betseeker’s expert NBA tipsters have you covered for the best tips and predictions for every game of the NBA season.

A huge opportunity for Boston to lead 2-0 before heading to Brooklyn, with Al Horford playing a crucual role for the Celtics without Robert Williams in the line-up.

Best Bet

Nets @ Celtics (9:00am)

Al Horford Over 22.5 PR ($1.80)

With Robert Williams missing from this Celtics team, Al Horford is vitally important to their Championship run.

Horford’s numbers per 36 minutes have jumped significantly without Williams especially in Game 1 against the Nets where he recorded 20 points and 15 rebounds playing a mammoth 42 minutes. From Horford’s last eight games without Williams he averages 14.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per 36 minutes – compare this to his last 8 games where he played alongside Williams, his numbers per 36 minutes were 11.1 points and 8.4 rebounds.

This is another vital game for the Celtics that will be desperate to head to Brooklyn up 2-0 this series, and based off Game 1 it’s clear that Ime Udoka will want Horford on court with Tatum, Brown and Smart as much as possible. The veteran big should play at least 26 minutes, and if that’s the case he’ll easily cover his PR of 22.5.

Next Best

Bulls @ Bucks (11:30am)

Milwaukee Bucks -9.5 ($1.85)

The Bulls put up a huge effort against the Bucks in Game 1 with Milwaukee still winning by 7 points, but don’t expect this so close in Game 2.

The key is Giannis (obviously). The Greek Freak got himself in foul trouble in Game 1 only playing the 34 minutes, but in that 34-minute stretch the Bucks were +19 with him on the floor which means they were -12 in 14 minutes without Giannis on court.

Outside of Giannis, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton were both below par so we should also see them pick up their output in this.

Chicago really showed their hand in Game 1 in an attempt to steal a victory on the road – their big three of DeRozan, LaVine and Vucevic shot 74% of their field goal attempts for the game. Don’t be surprised if Coach Bud shuffles around some match-ups and the Bucks stamp their authority on this series.

Value Bet

76ers @ Raptors (10:00am)

Tyrese Maxey 20+ Points ($2.00)

Has simply been dominant this series. Tyrese Maxey finished with 38 points in Game 1 and then backed it up with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in Game 2 playing 41 minutes.

With Matisse Thybulle unavailable for Game 3 in Toronto, expect Maxey’s minutes to remain at this rate in what should be a much closer contest between these teams.

From the six games including playoffs that Maxey has played against the Raptors this season, he has covered his line of 18.5 points in five of them now averaging 23.3 points against the Raptors this season.

With Harden’s efficiency still a concern, expect Maxey to continue to put up big point numbers playing off the ball.
