Indiana Pacers @ OKC Thunder (10:30am)
Best Bet
With everyone else going off for this OKC team throughout the series, Dort is sometimes the easily forgotten starter.
Chet has had big rebounding games, SGA has been scoring at will and Jalen Williams popped off for 40 in Game 5. With OKC having so many threats, it’s no surprise that they only lost 20 games this season and that’s including these playoffs. Dort has the ability to score, and Indiana continually live with his three point shot as the risk they are willing to accept.
A 14.2 PRA average over the five games and that includes the stinker in Game 2, with foul trouble limiting his playing time. He won’t set the world alight like JDub did in Game 5, but he should be able to grab us 13 PRA stats here.
Value Bet
Up and down like a yoyo this post season, with some moments of brilliance and some horror moments, highlighted at the free throw line in Game 4.
The general consensus is that Haliburton is definitely hurt, but most would assume he will give it a go regardless, unless he can cause serious further damage. Most people have hunted TJ McConnell’s lines as the main benefactor if Tyrese can’t go, but the bookies are well adjusted.
In the 7 games without Haliburton this season, Benny averaged 21 points per game and cleared this line easily on 6 of those 7 occasions. The Pacers will struggle without Haliburton as the key driver of their offence, Mathurin can create his own shot and has been aggressive in looking to score against OKC. Hopefully we see 20+ minutes and the Canadian make the most of his opportunity.
