Top Asian Player
Sungjae Im ($3.50)
Defending champion Hideki Matsuyama obviously goes in favoured here but Korean Sungjae Im is the value play. Defending champions don’t have a great recent record here with two of the last three defending champions playing in April have missed the cut with the other finishing T-36. Im has a second here two starts back and has three Top 21 finishes in his last five majors.
Top Canadian Player
Corey Conners ($1.50)
Conners is one of the best iron players on Tour and that has shown up in his Augusta trips with Top 10 finishes in his last two. He now has four Top 17 finishes in his last five majors with his bulletproof game not conducive to winning but outstanding for finishing high up the leaderboard. Chief rival Mackenzie Hughes has just two Top 15 finishes in nine major starts.
Top South African Player
Christian Bezuidenhout ($4.40)
Consistent South African who has made the cut in five straight majors though yet to crack the Top 30. Obviously needs to leapfrog major specialist Louis Oosthuizen but has finished outside Top 23 at last three trips to Augusta. Ranks 10th in Scrambling and 13th in Proximity so has the game to suit.
Top Irish Player
Shane Lowry ($2.75)
Rory McIlroy has the course history here but it is hard to look past Shane Lowry in this four-way market. The Open Championship winner has been playing some very good golf and has the diverse game to perform well here including ranking Top 11 in Scrambling, Strokes Gained: Approach and Bogey Avoidance.
