Top Aussie – PGA Championship Betting Tips 2022

Eight Australians line up at Southern Hills for the 2022 PGA Championship.

The Aussies

Cameron Smith
PGA Championship Winner 2022

The 2022 Players Championship winner now sits among the top echelon of players in the world. He leads the Tour in Putting Average while he ranks 7th in Strokes Gained: Approach and 8th in GIR. Deserving of top billing but not sure the value is there given his lack of length off the tee.

Jason Day
PGA Championship Winner 2022

The 2015 PGA Championship winner Jason Day is finding some form at the right time. He opened with a 63 at the Wells Fargo and five of his last eight rounds have been 68 or lower. Day ranks 2nd in Sand Saves and his strong form at Pebble Beach is a positive lead.

Adam Scott
PGA Championship Winner 2022

Adam Scott has now gone nine straight majors without finishing in the Top 20, a very poor return. Only fair at the Byron Nelson. Long iron game suits here but not enough for the price. Looks under the odds.

Marc Leishman
PGA Championship Winner 2022

Veteran having an underwhelming season who is a definite lay. Best result in last five starts was a T-30 at The Masters. In his last 15 majors Leishman has missed six cuts and finished inside the Top 30 just twice.

Cameron Davis
PGA Championship Winner 2022

Bomber who averages 303.0 yards off the tee this year. Davis has played in just three majors but has made the cut in all three. Finished 3rd in the RBC Heritage so comes in playing well.

Matt Jones
PGA Championship Winner 2022

Handy player whose recent major record means he is a play-against. In his last nine majors he has missed the cut six times and not finished inside the Top 25.

Min Woo Lee
PGA Championship Winner 2022

Huge hitter on the DP World Tour who finished 14th at The Masters, a tremendous outing. Missed four straight cuts prior. Course suits. Can make cut.

Lucas Herbert
PGA Championship Winner 2022

Big hitter whose form has been mixed this year with a maiden PGA Tour win in Bermuda, a 7th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and six missed cuts. Course should suit. Not the worst.
