Best Bet
Justin Thomas ($15)
There is no player in the field who profiles better than Justin Thomas, a star and former world No.1 chasing his second major. Thomas is certainly trending in the right direction with Top 22 appearances at his last five trips to Augusta including a T-4 in 2020. At 28, he is the right age to win and he enters this in outstanding form.
From a game point of view, Thomas is the perfect fit, the right mix of strong iron play, a quality short game and excellent scoring. Thomas leads the Tour in Bogey Avoidance, ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 4th in Putting Average, 5th in Strokes Gained: Approach, 6th in GIR, 6th in Scrambling, 12th in Proximity and 16th in Driving Distance.
A recent 6th at the Genesis is another positive sign.
Thomas’ time to shine is now.

Mid-Tier Bet
Matthew Fitzpatrick ($51)
Englishman who is another who profiles well.
This is his eighth trip to Augusta and he has a T-7 to his name. He sits firmly in the Top 30 and comes in with some strong recent form. He has a recent Top 5 at the Genesis and his game is ideal for Augusta.
He ranks 4th in Scrambling and 14th in Strokes Gained: Approach while he is Top 20 in Strokes Gained: Putting and Bogey Avoidance.
Value Bet
Billy Horschel ($91)
Six-time PGA Tour winner Billy Horschel is enjoying a good season and looks well over-the-odds this week.
Top 30 players aged 27-37 off a recent Top 20 with Augusta experience and a Top 20 in the Masters are the prime profile.
Horschel ticks every box. He ranks Top 20 in Strokes Gained: Putting, Par 4 Birdie or Better, GIR and Bogey Avoidance. When he contends his strike rate is good so he can be bet as a win and Top 10 proposition.
Roughie
Tom Hoge ($151)
Debutants don’t often win at Augusta but there is no reason Tom Hoge can’t find himself in the Top 20.
A strong iron game is absolutely the key trait to have at Augusta and Hoge ranks 7th in Strokes Gained: Approach and 17th in Proximity. Hoge also ranks 5th in Scrambling, 10th in Par 5 Performance and 13th in Bogey Avoidance and at the age of 32 sits right in prime age range.
