Golf Tips – The Chevron 2022

The first Ladies major of the year takes place at Mission Hills for the final time with the former ANA now known as The Chevron.

Best Bet

Jin Young Ko ($7.00)

There is absolutely no question in the world who the best women’s golfer in the world is right now. Jin Young Ko is simply operating at a different level. She has had just two starts this year but already has a win and now has five wins with from her last nine starts, an incredible run. Her worst finish over that stretch is a T-6.

Ko leads the Tour in Scoring Average and Greens In Regulation. She is short but she is still value.

Mid-Tier Bet

Minjee Lee ($26)

No player enters The Chevron in better form with her irons than Australian Minjee Lee. Lee is gaining 3.11 strokes per round in her approach – 1.24 strokes more than second-placed Hinako Shibuno. With six Top 5s in her last 11 starts including two wins, she can claim her second major.

Value Bet

Hye Jin Choi ($71)

Mission Hills is a second shot course and Hye Jin Choi is having a great season with her irons. She ranks 7th in Strokes Gained: Approach gaining 1.14 shots per round. She has two Top 15 finishes from three starts this season on the LPGA Tour. She can feature at a big price.

Prop Bet

Tournament H2H – Danielle Kang ($1.95) v Atthaya Thitikul

Kang has three Top 15s at Mission Hills and enters this in the best form of her career. She is hitting greens at 76% and that puts her in good stead to feature this week against young Thai sensation Thitikul who ranks a lowly 57th in Strokes Gained: Approach.
