Top Canadian
Pinehurst No.2 requires extraordinarily precise irons and there are few better iron players than Corey Conners. He ranks 2nd in GIR this year and 10th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green. Conners is in great nick with five Top 26 finishes on the trot.
Top Englishman
Rai has made the cut in two of his four majors and he looks a great play to go well at Pinehurst. He ranks 3rd in GIR, 6th in Bogey Avoidance and 8th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green. There is a good crop of Englishmen here but Rai is best value.
Top Japanese
Matsuyama looks really well suited for a big tournament. He has an elite game around the green and this is not a strong Japanese contingent in 2024.
Top Korean
Benny An is a live runner this week. He ranks 2nd in Birdies, 9th in GIR and 11th in Total Driving. That is a nice mix for Pinehurst and he can cause a shock in this market.
