We examine the nationality markets at this year’s Masters, picking the eyes out and finding plenty of winners.
Best Bet
It is stunning Conners isn’t odds-on here. He has finished Top 10 at three of the last four Masters. He is one of the best ball strikers on the planet. This is not a strong Canadian contingent. Conners is one of the surefire plays of The Masters.
Mid-Tier Bet
There are four Koreans teeing it up this week and Si Woo Kim is the pick of them. The former Players champion has a nice major record with seven Top 30 finishes since 2018. There are question marks around the form of the other three while Si Woo Kim has finished Top 25 in five of his last seven starts.
Value Bet
Jason Day has a tremendous Masters record with four Top 10s and only two missed cuts. He has overcome a long run with injuries and was back in the winners circle last year with a win at the Byron Nelson. Very keen to take on Cam Smith, who is far too inconsistent tee to green at the moment.
Longshot Bet
Ludvig Aberg is the favourite in his Masters debut but happy to side with the long Nicolai Hojgaard, who finished as the leading player on last year’s DP World Tour. Hojgaard contended in some quality PGA Tour events earlier in the season. With Hovland so badly out of form, this one is worth a speck.
