The PGA Tour returns to the mainland with the staging of The American Express, staged over three courses and featuring stars such as Justin Thomas, Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau.
Best Bet
We have a good field this week and this looks like an event Sam Burns should thrive in. The key guide to here is Phoenix and Burns has a great record there. His form in Palm Springs is quality too with four Top 18 finishes from five starts including T-6 finishes in 2020 and 2024. Ranks 4th in Birdie or Better and 14th in Strokes Gained: Putting, key for an event that will take somewhere around 28-under to win.
Mid-Tier Bet
Greyserman is a super young talent and this event has been the breakthrough for many including amateur winner Nick Dunlap last year. He ranks 2nd in Strokes Gained: Putting, 8th in Birdie or Better and 11th in Par 5 Scoring. Major player this week.
Value Bet
Underrated player who has been consistent of late. Ranks 3rd in Bogey Avoidance and 7th in Par 5 Scoring. Playing well with Top 12 finishes in his last three starts.
Longshot Bet
Highsmith missed the cut in Hawaii last week but finished last year with Top 16 finishes in five of his six fall events. Ranks 7th in Birdie or Better and 14th in Par 5 Scoring.
