Golfers from the DP World Tour, LIV and the PGA Tour converge on Spain this week for the staging of the time-honoured Open de Espana.
Best Bet
Tyrell Hatton gets a great chance to find his way back into the winner’s circle in a very weak Open de Espana. He ranks 2nd in Birdies, 6th in Scrambling and 9th in GIR on LIV this season. Form has been very good with a win and three Top 4 finishes in his last seven starts.
Mid-Tier Bet
Another LIV player. Hitting well enough but should be back to his best in his homeland. Ranks 4th in Birdies and 5th in Driving Distance, a good mix for success here.
Value Bet
Ranks 11th in Birdies and 12th in GIR. Birdies is the key stat here as the winner will need to get to -20 or better. Won in India in March and has not played poorly since.
Longshot Bet
Shooting very wide with Zimbabwean Benjamin Follett-Smith. Ranks 6th in Birdies and 9th in Driving Distance. Been plying his trade mainly on the Challenge Tour but looks a big hope this week to finish inside the Top 40/20.
