After finding Thorbjorn Olesen in the Ras Al Khaimah Championship last week, confidence is high heading into the inaugural Bahrain Championship.
Best Bet
Difficult tournament to get a grip on with its first staging but fancy German Yannik Paul is a big player. He was very good last week when running fourth. Ranks 8th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green and 10th in Bogey Avoidance, two key guides.
Mid-Tier Bet
Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal is a high variance golfer who has won nine times on the DP World Tour including four times the last 24 months. Was awful last week but he can put bad results to one side easily. Ranks 8th in Putting Average and 11th in Scrambling so should be suited this week.
Value Bet
Talented Spaniard who is out to an insanely big price. Ranks 4th in Bogey Avoidance, 5th in Scrambling and 13th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green. Has a nice short game and his putter has been better than the field in three of his last four tournaments.
Longshot Bet
Frenchman who has been trending upwards the last 18 months. No real weaknesses in his game. Ranks 9th in Scrambling and 13th in Bogey Avoifance. Finished 13th at the Ras Al Khamiah in 2023. Looks a big price.
