The Soudal Open is the newest addition to the DP World Tour as the circuit returns to Belgium for the first time since 2019.
Best Bet
Ryan Fox ($26)
Ryan Fox is playing at a quality level right now and this looks a great tournament for him where his strong game from tee to green can put him in a prime position to contend. The winner of the Ras Al Shamiah Classic in early February, Fox has finished Top 15 in three starts since. The Kiwi ranks Top 20 in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green while he is currently top 10 in Putts Per GIR. The winner is expected to go low and Fox is a quality scorer who ranks 9th in Birdies and 17th in Par 4 Scoring. This looks a nice setup for him.
Mid-Tier Bet
JC Ritchie ($54)
South African who has a great game to succeed here. He ranks 6th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 7th in Birdies and 16th in Putting Average. Finished Top 10 in the British Masters and has not finished further back than T-26 in his last four starts.
Roughie
Louis De Jager ($101)
Another South African who looks set for a big tournament. De Jager’s game ticks a lot of boxes. He ranks 2nd in Par 4 Scoring, 3rd in GIR and 5th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green. Has not contended a lot lately but has 10 Top 40s in his last 15 tournaments so should be seeing weekend action.

Tournament H2H – Thomas Pieters ($1.75) v Adrian Meronk
The two most important metrics heading into the inaugural Soudal Open are Strokes Gained: Tee To Green and Scrambling. Pieters ranks 3rd in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green and 4th in Scrambling. He has pickled up almost double the world ranking points of the second biggest accumulator in the field. Pieters won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in January and has finished Top 16 in each of his last five DP World Tour events including two wins.
