A strong field heads to TPC Craig Ranch outside of Dallas for the time-honoured Byron Nelson with Masters champion Scottie Scheffler set to continue his hot form.
Scottie Scheffler ($12)
Masters champion Scottie Scheffler has enjoyed one of the most remarkable ascents in golf history. He had not won a tournament on Tour in January but is now No.1 in the world with four tournament wins including the Masters. The Texas native plays his best golf in the south and won his maiden tournament at the top correlation course for this week, TPC Scottsdale, home of the Phoenix Open. The key to success here is an outstanding flat stick with a strong iron game. Scheffler ranks 4th in Birdie or Better and GIR, 5th in Putting Average and 20th in Strokes Gained: Putting. He has Top 15 finishes in the last two Phoenix Opens and St Jude Classics. Form is white hot. Ticks every box.
Joaquin Niemann ($31)
A prolific scorer, young Chilean Joaquin Niemann is enjoying a career year and can post further success this week. Niemann ranks Top 15 in Birdie or Better while he ranks 6th in Putting Average and 9th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green. Ranks Top 20 in Bermuda putting. Excellent value.
Luke List ($126)
List has been playing very good golf and battled really well in tough conditions at the Wells Fargo last week where he was in the mix well into the weekend. Ranks 4th in Strokes Gained: Tee To Green, 12th in Driving Distance and 15th in GIR. He is a very big price.
Tournament H2H – Sam Burns ($1.87) v Dustin Johnson
Burns is another who will be right in the mix this week. He has excellent form in the key correlation tournaments including a 2nd in the 2021 St Jude. He is a Top 5 putter on Bermuda. Ranks Top 10 in Putting Average, Birdie or Better and GIR.
