Spain vs. Saudi Arabia Preview
Probably the biggest shock so far in this World Cup, was the nil all draw between 2nd world ranked Spain and 67th world ranked Cape Verde.
Spain held 74% of possession, had seven shots on goal and had an expected goal rating of 2.10, without breaking through.
Saudi Arabia would be chuffed with their start to the World Cup, forcing a draw with Uruguay. There were some nervous minutes as Saudi Arabia took the lead in the first half and managed to hold on until the 80th minute.
Best Bet

Questions are being asked of Spain, after failing in their opening match against a relatively easy opponent for them. They have been blessed with this schedule, facing Saudi Arabia in this rebound game is a gift.
I expect them to bounce back and unfortunately for the Saudi’s, I think they hit back hard.
Spain for the win is too short, don’t waste your time at $1.10 odds. Correct score markets are also a tough one, because I just can’t see Saudi Arabia having answers for the potent Spanish forwards…but I said that about Cape Verde too.
Same Game Multi Bet

Ferran Torres looked the most threatening for Spain, even though none of the big names could break through. Lamine Yamal was very short priced to score a goal purely off of pre-tournament hype and has drifted here.
Torres had two massive chances go begging in the first half and one cannoned into the crossbar, with the entire net free. Saudi Arabia will have their work cut out for them to try and stop the rampaging Spanish bull.
Value Bet

This would be the benchmark for Spain, and the fans are desperate to see some scoring from one of the tournament favourites.
Saudi Arabia looked sharp from their set pieces, scoring from a corner when the header was bobbled by the Uruguayan keeper. In saying that, they only created 3 shots on goal for the entire match, losing the possession and accuracy counters convincingly.
The Spanish defence managed a clean sheet against Cape Verde as expected. The same expectations will arise here, and anything less would be considered underperforming. If Spain are to win this World Cup, it begins here with a showing against Saudi Arabia.
