South Africa vs. Canada Preview
Both teams have never made it this far in a World Cup previously. Canada have given up the home stadium advantage with a loss to Switzerland, but should still get plenty of fans in attendance in L.A.
South Africa was a surprise to come out of group A, but a historic 1-0 win over South Korea locked them into the second seed. The Bafana broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute and never relinquished the lead.
Canada have had moments of brilliance and moments of despair, leaving the Canadian faithful unsure of how far this team can really go. Drawing South Africa in a round of 32 game is a godsend, and all the pressure is on the Canadians to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Best Bet

I think South Africa have done a great job limiting opposition scoring this tournament. We have seen them close down many advances and keep a relatively low goal against tally of just three. They have gotten better as the tournament went on, after allowing two in the World Cup opening game against Mexico.
Their offence is limited with a low production of shots on target so far. Their goals have come from counter attacks from which they are dangerous, but getting in behind a defence is much streakier than using possession to break a team down.
Canada punished Qatar 6-0 off of 32 shots, which when given the chances proves they have the polish to finish with goals. I expect South Africa to do a far better job of defending their net than Qatar, and Canada squeezing in for two goals at best.
Same Game Multi Bet

We can expect a tightly played contest with both teams expectedly nervous at this stage. Adding to their offensive struggles, South Africa will be without midfielder Themba Zwane, who failed in overturning his red card suspension for this match.
Cyle Larin scored the only goal versus Bosnia; he scored the first goal versus Qatar and managed one shot on target in the 58 minutes he played before substitution, versus Switzerland. He has looked the most dangerous for Canada, along with the David boys.
The first half should be a stalemate with neither side taking much risk, if anyone can break the draught, I think it comes along in the second half when the pressure mounts and mistakes can happen.
Value Bet

Now that we are into the elimination stage of World Cup, games can be deadlocked at the final whistle resulting in extra time. An additional thirty minutes is played out. If the game remains deadlocked, the result will be decided via a penalty shootout. This bet means they get it done without the need of any extra time or a penalty shootout to decide the result.
I think Canada will eventually break the hearts of the South Africans and the Bafana won’t have the firepower to answer back. Canada have scored in every game so far and I don’t see that changing here.
They still have Alphonso Davies to return which would only strengthen this lineup. Doubts remain on if he will play this game or require longer from a hamstring strain, that has seen him miss the entire group stage.
