England vs. Ghana Preview
Ghana lived up to their World Cup qualifier form, with a 1-0 win over the higher ranked Panama. Although they only managed a third of the possession count, they looked really good when streaking forward in numbers. Plenty of players with top end speed makes them a nightmare when they’re streaking forward into open space.
England won a goalfest with all the big names scoring in that one. Kane, Bellingham and Rashford were the goal scorers in a 4-2 win over Croatia. Although the first half was somewhat rocky, the Three Lions settled and pulled away in the second half.
Best Bet

Both teams have exciting rosters and neither team is known for its stagnant and stubborn defence. This is a recipe for a big showing and I think we should see plenty of goals.
England managed 22 shots and half of them were on target, they took 20 of them from inside the box and ran 8 set plays out of corners won. They were unlucky not to have more than four goals but I guess their luck was used early when Harry Kane missed a penalty only to be awarded another go because the keeper moved off his line.
Although Ghana didn’t have a ton of possession, they attack out of defence and are dangerous with the long ball. They had 30 accurate long balls for the match, and their best chances came when running the field at top speed and in numbers.
Same Game Multi Bet

I think England will have too many scoring options for Ghana to manage, eventually succumbing to the weight of numbers. England overwhelmed Croatia and I think Ghana face a similar fate.
I do think however, that Croatia scoring twice gives them hope. England’s inexperienced back half was the major question entering into this tournament and we have seen that it’s far from perfect so far.
Harry Kane is a star, the captain for England and he has been doing this for years. His presence in the box especially on set pieces and corners is imposing and Ghana may struggle to prevent him getting to the drop of the ball first. The added kicker of being the English penalty taker is a handy insurance, if he can’t score in open play.
Value Bet

The Manchester City product is a highly skilled finisher who is a massive threat on the counterattack for Ghana. His dribbling and finishing skills are at this level and at 185cm, he is also a threat aerially.
He averaged 2.5 shots per game in the Premier League this season and will be a familiar opposition to the majority of the English side. In his last five appearances he has scored three goals and averaged 0.8 shots on target per game.
This sort of price and he doesn’t even need to get it past the keeper, sign me up.
