Morocco v Croatia

Best Bet

Hakim Ziyech 3+ Shots
Player to Have 3 Or More Shots

Morocco come in to this clash with 9 goals from their last 5 games, while Croatia have scored 8 in their last 5.

Thanks to Croatia’s favouritism, the value in their player prop markets has been sucked out of this clash with 9 of the 10 shortest players in the anytime goalscorer market coming from the Croatian side of the ball. So there is value in Morocco’s stars if this game opens up.

Hakim Ziyech has been deprived of playing time at Chelsea this season and will relish the chance to perform on the biggest stage.

In three games coming on as substitute in the UCL this season, Ziyech has 8 shots in only 80 total minutes. While he might not score in this game he will certainly give it a crack by peppering the Croatian keeper.

Germany v Japan

Best Bet

Germany Under 1.5 Cards
Germany vs Japan

Germany are not the powerhouse of 2014 anymore and 2022 has been a bit of a struggle. They have won just three of nine matches this year.

Win, lose or draw, one thing you can count on is for Hansi Flick’s squad to control the flow of the game. The Germans averaged 75% possession in World Cup qualifying matches.

Their opponents in this clash, Japan, lost the possession battle in their previous matches with Canada and the USA. This much time with the ball will see a lack of tackles and cards from the Germans.

The best value goal scorers for the match are Jamal Musiala at $3.00 and Daichi Kamada at $5.50.

Spain v Costa Rica

Best Bet

Under 2.5 Goals
Spain vs Costa Rica

From the outside, this shapes up as a comfortable win for Spain considering La Roja have lost only one of their previous 11 games.

However they have not been able to put teams away comfortably in the lead up to Qatar, their past six games have had under 2.5 goals.

In the past year they have racked up wins against Greece, Switzerland and Sweden however all three by a mere 1-0 score line.

Costa Rica have the build of a side that can frustrate La Roja but the favourites should still get the job done.

Belgium v Canada

Best Bet

Michy Batshuayi
Anytime Goalscorer

Canada were the story of qualification but Belgium are a big step up from the CONCACAF route. This Canadian defensive line does not match up to the attacking prowess of Belgium.

Despite Romelu Lukaku’s omission with injury, the favourites have no shortage of strikers to fill the void.

Michy Batshuayi can slot in nicely and his 8 goals in 13 matches for Fenerbahce this season highlight the touch he is currently in.

Canada may hit the scoreboard but expect this to be a goal fest either way, a play at the Over 3.5 goals at $2.77 also worth a play.
