Croatia v Brazil

Best Bet

Brazil-Brazil
Half Time/Full Time

Despite Croatia being the reigning World Cup runners-up, this looks quite the mismatch on current form.

Brazil dismantled South Korea 4-1 while Croatia limped in to the Round of 16 and were largely outplayed by Japan before ultimately prevailing on penalties.

Croatia are lucky to still be alive in this tournament and can thank the Samurai Blue for putting together one of the worst penalty shootouts of all time.

All goals Croatia have conceded in this tournament have come before half time while Brazil are coming off a four-goal first half against South Korea. So expect Brazil to score early en route to a win.

The best value from a player perspective is for Raphina to score or assist, the fact he hasn’t achieved either of these yet has inflated his odds despite the fact no Brazilian has more shots or shots on target than Raphina. He is also second only to Vini Jr for chances created.

Netherlands v Argentina

Best Bet

Over 2.5 Goals
Total

Netherlands are 19 straight games without a loss, Argentina were unbeaten since July 2019 before the crazy upset loss to Saudia Arabia. Heavyweight clash in this quarter-final.

These teams both have the ability to score in bunches but throughout the group stage they seemed happy to play safe and just do enough to rack up enough points to advance.

When their opponents get desperate, these sides match their intensity from a scoring perspective, as shown with the likes of USA and Australia respectively in the Round of 16.

The form lines are too strong to pick a winner here so the best play is taking the inflated overs. Punters have come for the unders after some low scoring knockout stage games but this one shouldn’t follow that script.

Denzel Dumfries played the game of his life in the Round of 16 but is still massive overs to score or assist at $5.50 considering he should get a similar role against Argentina.
