Croatia v Belgium

Best Bet

Over 2.5 Goals
Croatia vs Belgium

Coming in to the tournament Belgium looked like they could be one of the most exciting teams at the World Cup with their high-scoring play style, but they were anything but that in their first two games.

An underwhelming 1-0 win over Canada is the only reason Belgium have a pulse in progressing but they will need to secure all three points against Croatia to lock in a spot in the Round of 16.

Belgium will be bolstered by a fitter Romelu Lukaku after the striker only managed nine minutes last game and with their survival on the line, they won’t want to go down without firing a shot.

Croatia are coming in to this after putting four goals past Canada, so going with the overs here.

Canada v Morocco

Best Bet

Hakim Ziyech
Anytime Goalscorer

Morocco shocked Belgium in the second round led by a Man of the Match performance by Hakim Ziyech.

Ziyech finished with two shots, one on target, one assist and one goal ruled out for offside. The Chelsea man will want to cap off his scintillating group stage with a goal in Morocco’s final match and his team will look for him.

Morocco can book their spot in the last 16 with a win and take on a Canada side who just conceded four goals to Croatia.

If Canada are to score, Jonathan David is currently sixth in the tournament for expected goals but is yet to net one. David is the only player in the top eight for xGoals that is yet to score so he looks a good chance at $3.40.

Japan v Spain

Best Bet

Both Teams To Score
Japan vs Spain

Japan let a golden opportunity slip and now face the daunting task of needing three points against Spain.

They have the firepower to do it but can they slow down Spain on the defensive end? Probably not so the smart play is taking both teams to score and not worrying about the final result.

Japan were held scoreless by Costa Rica but still managed 13 shots with three on target and five corners. The intent was there but so was a super human Keylor Navas in goal for Costa Rica.

Hopefully third time’s a charm for the Daichi Kamada $6.50 anytime goalscorer bet and the Frankfurt star can go up from his three shots and one shot on target to a goal against Spain.

Costa Rica v Germany

Best Bet

Jamal Musiala
Anytime Goalscorer

Musiala has been Germany’s best player at this tournament by a stretch and somehow sits on the eighth line of betting for goal scorers in this match.

The Bayern striker leads the Germans for chances created, is second for expected goals and is the only German player with an assist for the tournament.

His stellar performances have seen his transfer value skyrocket but the bookies don’t respect him as much.

The market says there will be plenty of goals in this one so the $8.50 for 2+ and $67 for a hat-trick is also appealing.
