Head to Head

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH’s home fortress and a bowling attack that has shown clear improvement over the last week make them the right side to be on, despite LSG holding the historical edge in this rivalry.

LSG lead the head-to-head 4-2 across six meetings and have won two of three at this venue, but form and momentum both point to SRH. After losing their opener to RCB, they responded with a composed 65-run win in Kolkata where their bowling unit defended 227. LSG by contrast were bowled out for 141 in their only outing, losing to DC by six wickets without threatening.

The Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opening combination is back in form, with Abhishek averaging 40 against LSG at a strike rate of 228 and Head averaging 136 at 234. Ishan Kishan is assured at No. 3 and the SRH batting order has genuine depth. Pat Cummins remains unavailable but Brydon Carse may return from a hand injury, which would add genuine pace to a bowling unit that was already improving.

LSG’s biggest issue remains their batting depth. Without Wanindu Hasaranga and with Nicholas Pooran badly out of form, averaging just 15 in T20s this calendar year, their middle order looks fragile on a pitch that demands big totals.

Rain is forecast so an early toss check is wise, but in a full game SRH are the clear pick at home.

Best Bet

Travis Head

$1.90

Head averages 136 against LSG in two innings at a strike rate of 234 and is back in form after a quiet start to the season. On a pitch where SRH posted 286 in an afternoon game last season, and against an LSG bowling attack that is inexperienced outside of Mohammed Shami and Anrich Nortje, Head is perfectly positioned to go deep.

Value Bet

Mitchell Marsh
50+ Runs

$3.20

Marsh opens for LSG and is the one batter in their lineup capable of taking the game away from SRH on his own. He averaged 48 at a strike rate of 164 in IPL 2025 and his record against spin is exceptional, averaging 48 against spin bowling in the last 12 months compared to 35 against pace.

Same Game Multi

SRH H2H / Head & Abhishek Sharma 20+ Runs / Jaydev Unadkat 2+ Wickets
