The head-to-head at Dharamsala is split 2-2 but teams batting first have won four of five IPL games here since 2023, which suits PBKS’s aggressive top order more than DC’s fragile batting unit if they bat first. DC have lost five of their last six, were bowled out for 142 last game and their captain has already hinted at planning for next season.

PBKS’s three-game slide is a concern but it has come against three top-four sides, RR, GT and SRH. DC are not in that bracket. Chahal has dismissed Nitish Rana six times in the IPL and will be dangerous on a surface that gets slower as the game progresses.
