MI’s home record at the Wankhede and Bumrah’s outstanding record against this opponent make them the pick, although they are at rock bottom odds.

MI lead the all-time series 19-15 across 34 meetings and hold an 8-4 record at this venue. RCB won here for the first time in a decade in 2025, breaking a long run of Wankhede heartbreak, and have won five of the last eight meetings overall.

MI’s biggest issue is their bowling. Four of their regular bowlers carry economy rates above 12 this season and the attack is heavily dependent on Bumrah. But Bumrah has 24 wickets against RCB in the IPL and has dismissed Kohli five times. RCB are the side with three players scoring at 200-plus strike rates in this IPL and that kind of firepower can win games anywhere, but on a pitch with dew favouring the chasing side, MI’s batting depth and home familiarity gives them the edge.
