MI at home, on the back of a 99-run win and with a more settled squad should win this, however this is a rock bottom price.

MI lead the all-time series 21-18 across 39 meetings and hold an 8-5 record at the Wankhede. CSK won four straight in this fixture before MI demolished them by nine wickets here in 2025.

CSK arrive without Mhatre and Khaleel with Dhoni’s fitness uncertain, and have used 18 players this season as injuries pile up. MI by contrast have found momentum after five changes to their bowling attack rolled GT for 100, with Bumrah finally taking wickets and Tilak Varma finding devastating form through the middle.

Pitch 7 at the Wankhede has favoured batting first in four of its last six T20s and spinners have been significantly more economical than pace bowlers, which should suit Santner and Ghazanfar. Gaikwad has three half-centuries against MI but will need to overcome his poor early-season form.

CSK have the batting to compete if Samson and Sarfaraz fire, but MI’s settled combination and home advantage makes them the pick.
