The first of the Boxing Day BBL double header sees the 1-2 Sixers host the 2-0 Melbourne Stars at the SCG.

They may be narrow outsiders, but the Sixers’ record when unfavoured at home is too good to ignore.
The magenta team have won a remarkable 18 straight as home underdogs and five straight as underdogs against the Stars.
This match-up has been dominated by the Sixers for years, winning 11 of the last 13 meetings, including five of six at the SCG.
The Stars sit top of the table at Christmas, but they’ve had a touch of luck, winning the toss and gaining the typically advantageous chasing position in both games. The Sixers, meanwhile, have lost the toss and batted first in all three of their matches.
The home side also get a huge boost with the inclusion of BBL all-time leading wicket-taker Sean Abbott for the first time this season.
Chasing should again be an advantage, with the team batting second winning four of the last five at the SCG and nine of the last 12 overall.
